Abstract :
This paper attempts to provide a new interpretation to the book "Lao zi" , and to analyze its historical position. An analysis is made to its philosophical thoughts, meanwhile, we not only point out the attitudes taken about "taoism" in the "Lao zi" , but also point out the limitations of its thoughts.
